This beautiful naturally dyed saree is a testament to the artistry and dedication of Rekha Shettigar. After a 15-years of long break , Rekha returned to her weaving roots in 2020, inspired and supported by the weaving training provided by Kadike Trust.
She is a BBM graduate and expert in embroidery work.

The body of this saree is a adorned with beautiful  motifs .  The border of the saree is adorned with a blue  color, from the Indigo with yellow stripes from Wild almond leaves and marigold petals.This natural dyeing process not only ensures a beautiful hue but also promotes eco-friendly practices.

One of the standout features of this saree is the pallu, which showcases intricate ribbed pearl lines woven using the pearl rib method. This technique adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the saree. The pallu  of the saree is tie dyed after warp stage , one of the  unique features of udupi saree.

To care for this saree, it is recommended to wash it using mild detergent and to shade dry it. For those who prefer a crisp finish, starching the saree can enhance its texture and appearance.
